Jon Sender studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel during the spring of his junior year in college. It was his first major time away from home and he grappled with a lot of crazy circumstances, including getting a hernia and his bank losing a major scholarship check. But everything ultimately worked out and he regrets nothing, having had the experience of a lifetime and hoping you’ll feel that way afterwards, too.

Jon’s greatest personal achievements while in Israel include attaining Hebrew fluency (he was pretty close when he arrived), understanding Israeli culture and entrepreneurship, and making local friends with whom he’ll keep in touch for years to come.

His study abroad was largely made possible through generous scholarships from Case Western Reserve University, Hebrew University, and Masa Israel.
